How we review

We start from the official source

For each car we work from the manufacturer's current specification sheets and brochures, and we check every value against the official figures rather than repeating what other sites have published. Pricing, power, fuel use, safety equipment, warranty and service costs are all pulled from primary sources and cross-checked before they go on the page.

We break it down grade by grade

This is the part other sites skip. Instead of only covering the top model, we lay out each grade of every car and show what actually changes as you move up or down the range: what the entry car already includes, what the next step adds, and where the money stops buying things you will notice. Where a grade offers more than one engine or drivetrain, we show how the features and figures change with it.

Facts are checked. Opinions are labelled.

There is a clear line between the two on this site. The numbers and equipment lists are facts, sourced and checked. The verdicts, the "which grade we would buy" calls and the general impressions are opinion: informed, but still opinion. We keep them separate so you always know which is which, and you are free to disagree.

We keep it current, and we fix mistakes

Prices, model years and equipment change often, so we update cars as new information lands. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please tell us on the contact page. We would rather hear about it and fix it than leave it, and we correct errors openly.

What we leave out

We focus on the things that decide a purchase: equipment, running costs, safety, space and value across the grades. We do not chase every paint colour or minor option, and we note where a figure is an estimate rather than a confirmed official number.
