The short version

We do not run on-site analytics or advertising cookies at this time, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information. The only time you share personal details with us is if you choose to email us.

What we collect

• If you email us: we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and, where relevant, to fix a reported error.
• Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard request information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and running. This is standard server logging, not marketing tracking.
• Aggregate search data: we use Google Search Console, which shows us anonymised, aggregated information about the search terms that bring people to the site. It does not identify individual visitors.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies at this time. If that changes in future, for example when we introduce analytics or advertising, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Third parties

The site is hosted by Vercel, and we use Google Search Console to understand our search performance. These providers process limited technical data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We do not share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing.

Your rights

You have rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, including the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to request that it be corrected or deleted. To make a request, email us at editorial@autofocusaustralia.com.au.
