The BT-50 is Mazda's workhorse ute, a tough, ladder frame dual cab, also offered as single and freestyle cabs and as a cab chassis, built to tow and haul. It shares its underpinnings with the Isuzu D-Max, pairing a choice of 2.2-litre or stronger 3.0-litre turbo diesels, rear or four wheel drive, and a heavy towing rating on most variants. The range climbs from the value XS work ute through the XT, the rugged Boss, the XTR and luxury GT, to the sporty SP, topped by the off road Thunder flagship.
