The Triton is Mitsubishi's tougher looking dual cab ute, completely redesigned with a bold, blocky front, a stronger chassis and a competitive heavy towing rating. A bi turbo diesel gives it real muscle, and Super Select 4WD makes it genuinely capable off road while staying easy to drive on the bitumen. The 2026 model adds a comfort focused suspension retune. It spans work focused GLX models through to the lifestyle GLX-R, GLS and the styling led GSR, in several cab and body styles, backed by Mitsubishi's warranty of up to 10 years.

The AutoFocus Verdict

The GLX is the value workhorse: a strong bi-turbo diesel, proper 4WD and a 3,500kg tow rating in a genuine tool. It comes more ways than any other grade, from the single cab chassis 4x2, the cheapest way into a Triton, to the double cab pick-up that doubles as a daily driver. The 4x2 versions suit pure work and fleets, while most private buyers will want a 4x4. Step up to the GLX+ for a rear diff lock, side steps and privacy glass, or the GLX-R for the more capable Super Select 4WD-II.
