The Everest is Ford's big seven seat 4WD wagon, the Ranger ute's family friendly sibling, built on the same tough ladder chassis but with three rows of seats and an SUV body. It tows well, goes properly off road, and runs Ford's large portrait touchscreen with a full safety suite. For 2026 the old bi turbo is gone, and the range now pairs an updated single turbo diesel with the strong V6 turbo diesel, and the V6 is now available right across the range, from the new entry Active up to the off road Tremor and luxury Platinum.

The AutoFocus Verdict
The Active is a genuinely well equipped base, with Ford folding the old Ambiente and Trend into one grade and giving it leather trim and the big screen as standard. The headline news is that you can now option the V6 in the cheapest Everest, bringing the bigger engine within reach. For most families the V6 Active is a lot of 4WD for the money, a five seater as standard with the third row a small option.
The sweet spot, sharper and better equipped.
The off road specialist, built to leave the bitumen.
The style led hero, with Platinum kit and bold looks.
The luxury flagship, the most comfortable Everest.
